Muse at Goffertpark, Nijmegen

On Juni the 19th the great day was finally there: Muse at Goffertpark in Nijmegen the Netherlands.
Me and one of my students I was accompanying have been looking forward to this day for months now and all of a sudden we’re at the train station waiting to “go-go go!”

Three trains and a shuttle bus later and we’re at the terrain, and it’s massive! The stage looks very cool, with its distorted perspective design.

We arrived at 6 in the afternoon and sat around for some time untill the first act started. This was Ghinzu, a brilliant band from Belgium.

Half an hour after Ghinzu the second band started which were the Editors. personally I far prefered Ghinzu!

After the Editors the crowd moved toward the stage in anticipation of the main act, Muse. At 20.50 it started, they entered the stage accompanied by men with hoods bearing flags and a banner saying “We will be victorious”
The concert was brilliant and as a plus the weather held up nicely aswell.

Me and Deniz

Unfortunately we had to leave during the second encore because we had to catch the train of 23.18 back home.
Of course the train took the worst detour it could ever take, but I was grateful enough being home and sleep in my own bed.

To summarise: it was a great and long day!
