In Paris you don’t have to go to Palais de Tokyo or Centre Pompidu to see and enjoy contemporary art, the streets are quite letarally littered with it. High up on four storey buildings or on street level, the city’s walls are painted, stickered and stenciled in a wide variety of styles.
Here are some examples that I came across while walking the streets of Paris last July.

During the last few weeks my grade 6 student shave been learning about logo design and making stencils.
The process is very simple, first the students make a design of their logo after we discussed some famous designs. Then they drew their final design on a thick piece of paper and used breaker knives to cut out their logo. When they completed their stencil they used different colours of acrylic paint to make their prints.
They made a terrible mess of my art room, but we had great fun and they came up with some fantastic designs.
Here are some of the amazing results!

I changed the title of my blog, I thought it might be time to think up one…
But do not fear, the content did, nor will it ever (unless I suddenly become a great writer) change!
So I present:
